‘Objects With Marks’ is a major new exhibition at thegallery@360° this Summer that explores function and form, surface flourishes and fictive landscapes through the exclusive work designed and made for the gallery by internationally renowned glass artist Simon Moore.
Our first solo artist exhibition the new show is in support of Little Bridge House Children’s Hospice and follows the tremendous success of Simon’s recent exhibition at Thomas Goode in London’s Mayfair and is the only opportunity collectors and enthusiasts will have to appreciate this new collection outside of the capital this year.
Simon is a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art in London and his work features in both public and private collections throughout the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London; the Museum of Modern Craft, New York; the Museum of Decorative Arts, Paris; the Murano Museum of Glass, Venice and the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Tokyo. He recently moved his creative practice from North Devon back to London where his career began 28 years ago, critically reappraising his work and creative direction on the way.
The fruit of this labour is the work featured in ‘Objects with Marks’. www.simonmoore.uk.com
